there's no denying the fact that facebook is taking over our lives. most people have an acount (maybe even more that one)and are on facebook for more that a few hours each day.
in my opinion, facebook has two faces (like voldymort in hp* and the philosophers stones).
on one hand it's a great way to connect with people and share photos and feelings.
it's fun to know what your friends are doing, and it's nice to read their comments about your photos, comments and ideas. it's also a great way to get in touch with people you haven't spoke to in a long while, and it even saves you money as you can send a free message instead of texting. i too have a facebook account..
on the other hand, you have to be very careful on facebook.
other than all of your friends, other people can find you, and not necessarily people you know..
i have heard of many cases where my friends have been asked by older people that they don't know to confirm them as friends on facebook. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS!! YOU SHOULD BLOCK THEM EMIDIETLY!!

there have been too many cases showing us what could happen when people meet on the internet and then arrange to meet. not all the times people are like they said they are.
once in the newspaper there was an article about a boy and girl that met after they talked on a chat room and when they met, the girl was a bit older than she said in the chatroom. (remember that you cant see the person and you don't always know if their profile pic is really them. remember - not all people are like that though. there are also honest people like you and me...)
back to the story: the girl was older. they drove away in the girls car and she kidnapped the boy accompanied with some even older men. later they killed the poor boy.
that is why i'm advising you to be careful, and not reveal too much about yourself in the internet. you don't even know who i am... for precaution..
don't worry, i'm nice :)
soo, that is why i'm advisint you to be careful, safety always comes first!!
also, i think that when people get too addicted to facebook it's a real shame. many people come over to my house, and before we even start talking they ask if they can be a moment on facebook to check something. i mean, didnt' they just leave their home, couldn't they do that there? why did they have to come all the way to my house to talk with some other friends of theirs?
sorry i'm writing too much, but then again if you'd have stopped in the middle you wouldn't even be reading my apology because what you read hadn't been all that long, because you stopped in the middle and then i wouldn't have to apologise because it wouldn't have been so long if you'd have stopped in the middle. get it?
if not, maybe this is the time to stop reading as it's getting too long...
